I also have 20 years experience working in education supporting children and families with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Have you ever been driving to work and when you get there suddenly realise that you cannot remember the journey even though you have been in full control of your vehicle the whole of the way there? Have you ever watched a TV programme, or read a book and become so engrossed in it that you become completely unaware of anything going on around you? This trance like state is self-hypnosis. It is completely natural and part of your body’s way of dealing with or processing thoughts and situations subconsciously.
The definition of Hypnosis is ‘A state of relaxation and heightened awareness induced by suggestion’. Hypnotherapy is the facilitation of a positive change in behaviour using various techniques whilst the client is under hypnosis.
How can Hypnotherapy help you? Hypnotherapy can help with various unwanted behaviours and emotions by helping to change the way that a person perceives or reacts to certain situations. Hypnotherapy can help with issues such as low confidence, anxiety, fears and phobias, PTSD, weight management, fertility, stress management, plus much more.
My goal is to help you to be the version of yourself that want to be by helping to re-programme outdated and unwanted thought patterns and behaviours that may be causing you stress and anxiety and install new, more positive ones.
